Royal Caribbean International

Founded by three Norwegian shipping companies in 1969 as Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, this company is one of two affiliates of Royal Caribbean Cruises, the second-largest cruise operator in the world. The line's first newbuild, Song of Norway, entered service in 1970, and today, RCI operates a fleet of modern super- and megaliners, among them the three largest passenger ships ever built, the 137,300 gt Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean's signature Viking Crown Lounge is a familiar sight in almost all parts of the world, and the company has a strong presence not only in the Caribbean, but also in Europe, Alaska, and other "exotic" destinations.

The company will accept delivery of at least four new cruise ships until 2004, two additional Voyager-class giants and two Vantage-class sister ships to Radiance and Brilliance of the Seas.
