Sun Princess
When the Sun Princess entered service in 1995, she was
the world's largest cruise ship. The prototype of a series of four similar sister ships, she sports
a rather "boxy" exterior look, but numerous well-designed public rooms, as well es
expansive open decks.

Excerpts from Princess' Website
about the Sun Princess
The Sun Princess revolutionized cruising with her large number of private balcony
staterooms and her personal choice dining and entertainment options.
The four-story Grand Plaza atrium is the main social hub of the ship with shops,
entertainment and dining radiating from this focal point. It features a 24-hour reception desk and
circular marble foyer, glass elevators, a circular floating staircase and stained-glass dome. A
second smaller atrium is located aft of the Grand Plaza.
Modeled after the officer's bar of yesterday's liners, the Wheelhouse Bar
features lots of brass, leather furniture, rosewood-paneled walls and a collection of ship
memorabilia which give it a classic, nautical feel.
