Sea Princess Cruise Review

Jack & Marty Arensberg

Age: 51 to 60
Occupation: Retired
Number of Cruises: 2nd Cruise
Ship: Sea Princess
Sailing Date: November 11th, 2000
Itinerary: Western Caribbean

Our 35th anniversary trip aboard the Sea Princess was to be the nicest vacation we have had in a long time. From the plane trip down to Ft Lauderdale to our arrival back in port.

We were met at the airport by a Princess representative asked a couple of questions about our luggage  (did we have them tagged with the Princess tags, etc), and boarded a bus to be taken to the ship. About a 15 to 20 minute ride. Didn't see our luggage from the time we boarded the plane until about an hour after we boarded.

We received our cabin key after standing in line a very short time and we were on our way onto the ship. As soon as we stepped onto the Sea Princess we were escorted to our cabin. We booked a Cat. AA Suite and it couldn't have been nicer. Very large with a wonderful BIG balcony at the rear of the ship. (Photos I put on a page http://www.geocities.com/martymoo42/cruise1.html ) We ate dinner in the Sicilian dining room and had a wonderful waiter named Constantin, from Romania. He saw to our every need. The Horizon Court restaurant was open 24 hours a day and had wonderful buffets of fruits, vegetables and hot foods. Even a Sushi Bar on certain days. The food was very great, we were never disappointed.

We took only one shore excursion, the Stingray City excursion in Grand Cayman. It was to say the least, a fantastic experience. We didn't go ashore and stay to long in any of the ports, we enjoyed having the ship to ourselves.

The Sea Princess is a fairly new ship and we found her to very beautiful, lots of wonderful art work hanging all over the ship. The crew could not have been friendlier or  more attentive. Always a smiling face to bid you a good day. Their creed is , "Never Say No". and they don't.

All in all  our anniversary cruise was FANTASTIC. I would recommend Princess Cruise Lines and the Sea Princess very highly and can't wait to book our next cruise. Perhaps The Grand Princess next time.
