Sea Princess Cruise Review

Lori

Cruise Line: Princess
Ship: Sea Princess
Sai
ling Date: September 25th, 2001
Itinerary: Coastal Cruise

Why I booked this cruise:

When I booked my cruise on the Sea Princess, it was for a couple reasons. We have some friends that had gone on Princess before, and they loved it. We looked on the Internet and found a great deal on Princess. The places it went to were really neat places. The pictures and reviews on the Internet were pleasing.

Things that pleased me:

I loved the food on this ship. It was delicious, but extremely gourmet. They had many things for the children and teens. The staff was very friendly. The cruise director was always happy and there. The shows were excellent. There was always something planned.

Things I disliked:

I didn’t dislike much, except we went in September, so it was cool. When we went swimming, people would not get out of the spa. We would wait for a couple of hours and then leave, very rude.

Entertainment:

The shows were very good. They had a musical every night, which were excellent. They also had a comedian who was hilarious. There was also a juggler who was very talented. They had a cooking demonstration that was real funny. The two theaters were very comfortable. There were a couple movies a day in the theater, and movies playing non-stop in your cabin. They had some nightclubs, but we did not go there.

Stores:

You could a coke card for $10.00, which gave you all the coke you wanted on the cruise. Everything else on the ship was very expensive.

Stops and Excursions:

We only stopped at San Francisco, California. I was fun for everyone. We went to Alcatraz as our excursion. It was interesting, but eerie. There were lots of people trying to sell you stuff on the streets for real cheap. We got a picture drawn of my two daughters for $5.00 each. We were going to go on the trolley, but the line was at least an hour long. We also went to Fisherman’s Warf and Pier 39. We all enjoyed it. We missed dinner, but the buffet was delicious.

Rooms:

The rooms were very comfortable. They were pretty large. We got an outside room, which was nice to have. The cabin steward was very neat and cleaned real nice. We enjoyed it.

All together we enjoyed our Princess cruise and will book another for sure. Out of five stars, I would probably give it four stars.
