Scotty
Number of Cruises: 4
Cruise Line: Princess
Name of Ship: Island Princess
Sailing Date: August 2nd, 2003
Itinerary: Alaska
The transportation to the ship was long and tiresome. The ship is beautiful and
very elegant. It's not huge on the inside like most other ships, but its very
personal. The atrium is always alive with orchestral music which is very nice.
The food is good but the choices slim after 10. The horizon Court is always open
but unless you want to eat dinner again there isn't much to eat after 10. The
pizza and grill were great (when they were open). The shows were also good but
the dancing shows were aimed at an older crowd. The onboard Naturalist, Rachael,
was very informative and a great addition with her onboard commentary. Stay
outside during days in College Fjord and Glacier Bay. Personal Choice is nice
but there is usually a wait of about 15 minutes and the show schedule doesn't
leave much time to dilly dally. Hope you enjoy your cruise on this wonderful
ship!
