Itinerary: Southern Caribbean
My wife and I just returned from a week on Golden Princess to the southern
caribbean and we are very pleased. Princess really does a great job of
getting you on board and into your room as soon as possible and back to
the food too.
The food is very high quality and the service is excellent too. We chose
anytime dining so we could meet new people every night. We enjoyed the
pools being open 24 hours a day, unlike other ships that close or drain
theirs each day. The $25 coke card may seem high, but it's definitely
worth the cost, and you don't have to carry a coke container around as
others have suggested, just walk up to any bar and flash your card.
The cabin was terrific! we had a balcony on C deck and it was great
sitting outside in the morning having our breakfast while the ocean went
by. One downside.. bring your own pillows! They are like foam covered
cinderblocks. Our steward was friendly and brought us what we asked for.
No problems. The music productions were so so, nothing special, but we
really went to visit islands so we didn't care that much. The Casino is
fun as long as you accept the fact that no one wins in there. It's just a
way to kill some time and meet people.
Overall we would certainly go with Princess again next cruise to the
Caribbean.
