Itinerary: Venice to Barcelona
Princess does everything it can to discourage the independent traveler down to
and including a refusal to provide detail of how to get from the train station
to the Princess dock. It's a quite pleasent 10 minute walk. Or would have been
had their been any signs showing the way to the terminal. We went to the ship
and were told to go back to the terminal. After throwing a Mel Gibson, they
permitted my wife to remain with our luggage in the shade and actually gave her
water to drink, while I hoofed it, passports in hand to the terminal.
(This was not the first nor the last of the games Princess plays so I've set up
a website with all the information the independent traveler needs. Just write me
pigood@oco.net for the link.)
Princess had replaced 50% of the dining room crew while promoting a number of
individuals far beyond their abilities. The result was chaos at dinner in the
Donatello while professional service could still be found in the Bernini.
