Mediterranean Shipping Cruise's Melody Cruise Reviews

Excerpts from MSC's Website
about the Melody

This 36,500 ton vessel is the latest addition to the MSC fleet. Able to take just over 1,050 passengers (lower berths), clients will be able to choose from 7 night cruises in the Mediterranean from May through October, 11-night cruises to the Eastern Mediterranean in the fall, Transatlantic repositionings in December (westbound) and April (eastbound), and 11 night cruises in the Caribbean and Panama Canal during the winter months. Genoa is home port for Mediterranean cruises and Fort Lauderdale for the winter sailings.

Formerly known as the StarShip Atlantic, the ship has been refurbished since MSC took it over in April 1997. Although children’s programs are still available, the emphasis has shifted away from cartoon characters and more in tune with adult needs. One children’s lounge has been converted into a bar.
