Originally planned as the Seaward for Norwegian Caribbean Line, this ship was taken over by the Peninsular & Orieantal Steam Navigation Company (P&O) while still under construction. Launched as the Spirit of London the ship was later transferred to sister company Princess Cruises and renamed the Sun Princess. Sold to Premier Cruise Line in 1989, the vessel became the Starship Majestic. Following a short charter to British CTC Cruise Lines in 1996/97, she was acquired by Festival Cruises in 1997.

Excerpts from Festival's Website It will come as no surprise to learn that this elegant vessel once starred in a famous television series! Newly refurbished, Flamenco boasts the highest standards of both comfort and safety. And while her design is classic cruise ship, her ambiance is relaxed and casual. Flamenco's most attractive features are her vast open-air decks, swimming pool high atop the ship, and lovely Galaxy Restaurant. What's more, the attentive service of her expert cruise staff is unparalleled. Wherever you cruise with Flamenco - from the Mediterranean to the North Sea, along the Norwegian coast to its dramatic fjords, or traversing the warm Canary Isles - your experience will be unforgettable.
