In Festival defense I had a fantastic cruise, but it had only been in service 2 months when I embarked to the Med. It was first class, the service was good, service lovely and cabin adequate for 3 of us - 2 adults and one child of 14yrs. The entertainment was poor and repetitive, but we went to other bars and cabaret lounges as well. The English pub was great and relaxing. The waiter we had was good, amusing and friendly. The getting on was a nightmare as very hot where we were kept waiting but once on the ship, visiting ports was OK. The 2 excursions we went on catered well for English-speaking passengers and were very interesting. Getting off was a nightmare too, as we were kept waiting around for ages, but overall it was one of the best holidays we have taken and we saw some fabulous places with temperatures of up to 90F.
