Originally built as the Starward for Norwegian Caribbean Line, this ship was part of NCL's "white fleet" for 27 years before being acquired by Festival Cruises in 1995. She is still owned by that company today, but has sailed under charter for various operators for some years already. In April, 2001 she entered service with Spanish Cruise Line, a joint-venture between Festival Cruises, Iberojet and Transmediterranea.

Excerpts from Festival's Website Bolero's warm, elegant decor will charm you. The ship's designers have displayed a fondness for traditional materials, like copper and wood. And her Windows on the Sea Restaurant offers a delicious panorama of sea and sky - and the cuisine is equally delectable. Should you choose to remain on board rather than explore ashore, Bolero's daily schedule of activities as well as her modern facilities are at the ready. Visit the fitness center, sports club, library and card room, or beauty center. Or swim at either of two pools - one on Sun Deck, the other on Boat Deck. The ship's two, three, or four berth cabins are splendidly equipped and fully fitted for your comfort. Evenings offer a myriad choice of entertainment: shows in the Starlight Cabaret, dancing in Reflections Lounge, or aperitifs or cordials in Topsiders Piano Bar ... aboard Bolero, you have every opportunity to celebrate.
