Excerpts from Delta Queen Steamboat's Website
about the American Queen

The American Queen is without a doubt, The Greatest Steamboat The World Has Ever Known. Within and without, she is grand in every sense of the word, offering her guests a level of comfort unmatched since the "Golden Age of Steamboatin'!"

Inspired by the steamboat and archival records of more than a century ago, she is grand in every sense of the word, offering the ultimate setting for Steamboatin' at its most opulent. All of her luxurious staterooms are designed to give the feeling of a gracious Victorian bedroom complete with patterned wallpaper and carpets and period furnishings - many of them genuine antiques. Outside staterooms are embellished with windowed French doors or bay windows offering sweeping river views.
