Originally built in 1973 for Norwegian Norske Amerikalinje as the Vistafjord, this ship was acquired by Cunard Line in 1983, and continued sailing under the same name. In late 1999, she was renamed Caronia - a historic Cunard name - following an extensive refurbishment.

Excerpt from Cunard's Website Following an extravagant makeover, the former Vistafjord debuts as the new Caronia, a regal liner perfectly suited to contemporary travellers. Caronia's graceful lines, expansive decks and finishings of teak, mahogany and brass epitomize the golden age of ocean travel.
