I love Celebrity!! My first cruise with them got me hooked. The Galaxy out of Baltimore was our first cruise. The reason we picked it was because it was from Baltimore and it was 11 nts. We are from the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, (about 3hours north of Baltimore) and Celebrity arranged a bus to pick us up five minutes from our house.

Upon laying my eyes on the ship I felt like a kid going to Disney for the first time. I was bouncing around and gitty. Embarkment took a lot longer then I thought it would, but it was very orderly. Our stateroom was oceanview and very comfortable. I did not have one complaint about it or our chambermaid. He was in our room cleaning, wiping things down and vacuming three times a day! No joke! He was the best. He always had clean towels and cold ice water and ice cubes ready for us.

The first night was strange, being first time cruisers we really did not know where to go or what to do. So we stayed in our room and ordered dinner. They brought our dinner menues and much to our surprise they were the offical dinner menues from the Orion resturant. The dinner was brought to our stateroom in about 15-20 minutes and it was a compleate meal on a rolling table with a table cloth, real plates, sliverware and glasses. Very romantic! The food was covered with sliver covers and not plastic wrap. It was the best food we had ever had on a vacation.

The formal nights are fun, the shows were okay but not great. Getting a lougne chair at the pool is a nightmare if you don't get on deck early enough. But no sweat just keep walking you will find one.

Disembarkment was not fun. Not only did we not want to leave but we waited about three or more hours in a lobby to get off the ship. No big deal, it's just like waiting in line at the airport only your more relaxed.

In short, to me it's the little things that count and Celebrity gave me all the little things I could have ever imagined and more. I went on this cruise expecting very little and came out more than satisfied. We have now become Captin's Club members and look forward to our next Celebrity cruise later this year. And once again we are sailing Galaxy out of Baltimore on the 11nt cruise April 26, 2004. We can't wait!!
